Company Overview

Henry County Animal Hospital moved to its current location in 1989. The hospital was designed and built by the previous owner, Dr. Richard Price. After over 30 years of service as a veterinarian in the Martinsville area, Dr. Price retired in December 2007.

Dr. Sara Zimmers purchased the practice from Dr. Price. Since the transition, the hospital has undergone physical, as well as philosophical changes. While the hospital continues to treat dogs and cats, Dr. Zimmers also accepts avian and exotic animal patients. The hospital staff practices progressive medicine that focuses on thorough diagnostics and treatment coupled with a holistic approach to wellness. They strive to support and strengthen the immune system to cure illness, instead of controlling the signs of disease. They strongly believe in safe, preventative medicine, including customized vaccine protocols and feeding high quality food with human-grade ingredients.
